Procedural Grass test…

This one is my real first serious attempt to master the extremely powerful FX-map node in Substance Designer.

If you don’t know (yet) the FX-map node, it gives you the ability to build extremely interesting patterns controlled by functions:

Don’t worry, with Substance Designer there is no code lines to read : even functions are made with the graph system 🙂


I decided to go with a grass texture, which are notoriously hard to tile properly:
